PPE & Clothing

Correct and consistent branding on clothing, both on and off site, is a key part of our brand. Make sure you or your team have read these guidelines, before producing any branded items of clothing.

Personal Protective Equipment

Branding our Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) helps identify our people and projects a professional image of McConnell Dowell in the communities where we work.

Outside of the branding requirements,  PPE should be sourced from a reputable supplier and must meet all relevant safety codes.

Office & General Branded Clothing

Branded office/corporate wear should follow a similar design to the onsite PPE clothing. With the MCD logo appearing on the left chest of the garment. Home without Harm is not required for office and corporate clothing.

Corporate and office clothing should only be produced in the 3 brand colours of white, black or 'hero green'.

However; button up "office" shirts can also be produced in neutral colours such as pale blues and greys.

corp clothing

Never produce branded office clothing in non-brand colours such as red, yellow, blue etc. If sole MCD branded clothing is being worn, it should still reflect the brand and it's guidelines.

Office and corporate wear is organised at a business unit level, speak to your office manager for guidance and ordering queries, as existing stock and supplier relationships may already be available and in place.

Don'ts

The McConnell Dowell logo should only be used as described here.
The logo is supplied as digital master artwork files and should never be distorted, redrawn broken apart or altered in any way.

Below is an example of incorrect PPE branding:

p2 colour 1

  • Master artwork logo file not used, meaning logo has been redrawn with the wrong font resulting in incorrect proporations and sizing.
  • Wrong colour green used.
  • Logo is too big (not enough clearance around all sides).
  • Stitched onto a patch the same size as the logo itself. Instead logo should be scaled to fit patch with adequate clearance.

Suppliers

Send your supplier a link to this page so they know the rules and ask them for samples. First time suppliers are to provide a sample of the logo prior to ordering. This will allow you to check the quality of their work and ensure that their reproduction is correct.

Blackwoods is the preferred supplier in Australia, but any supplier can be used as long as branding and safety requirements are met.
