Our teams on the the Western Program Alliance (WPA) in Victoria are always on the lookout for opportunities to reuse and repurpose waste materials generated from the multiple level crossing removal projects we're delivering around metro Melbourne.
A great example is the donations we've made to support the various heritage railways operating across Victoria, including 500 concrete sleepers to Mornington Railway, 2,800 timber sleepers to the Bellarine Railway, and 190 concrete sleepers to the Yarra Valley Railway.
We've also donated over 3 kms of rail track to the heritage railways for the upgrade and maintenance of their existing tracks, and donated 1.5 km of rail track to Werribee Zoo, which has been reused for fencing of the rhinoceros enclosures. A fantastic effort!
