Last night in Sydney we were celebrating at the Australasian Railway Association (ARA) Rail Industry Awards, with our Western Program Alliance (WPA) awarded the win for the Mt Derrimut Road Level Crossing Removal Project.
WPA is one of the several Alliances removing dangerous level crossings for the Victorian Government’s Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP). WPA is made up of McConnell Dowell, LXRP, Mott MacDonald, Arup, V/Line and Metro Trains Melbourne.
Sustainability features on the award-winning project prioritised comfort for the public transport users and surrounding community in a changing climate, installing pavement cooling paint, solar bus shelters and a green roof.
