The New Midland Station project has reached a major milestone: the new, more than 800-bay, multi-storey car park is officially open!
The car park's exterior design acknowledges both the geographical landmarks and the colours of local Aboriginal language groups. The bright exterior colours represent the area between the Western Australian Coast and the nearby Darling Ranges. The facade pattern also maps the shape of the Swan, Canning, and Helena Rivers.
With the new car park now open, the old car park will be decommissioned allowing construction to begin on the temporary and permanent bus interchange.
