As a leading marine construction contractor we've got a fleet of specialist plant to support our projects. It is also available for hire on a short, medium or long term basis.
Our marine assets include jack-up barges, support vessels, and an in-house designed, purpose-built 'traveller' system that streamlines marine piling operations while enhancing safety and environmental outcomes. Read the detailed equipment profiles below.
Jack-up Barge: MCD-914 & Transport Vessel:MCD-924The MCD-914 is a multi-purpose, self-elevating marine construction platform. This innovative piece of equipment sets the benchmark for productivity in the development of jetties and nearshore marine facilities. Added to our fleet in 2022, the MCD-914 can operate in waters up to 30 metres deep. It incorporates a 300-tonne pedestal crane and uses an automated jacking system for elevation. It operates with twelve personnel and comes with its own dedicated transport barge the MCD-924, for rapid and cost efficient deployment. Click here for a detailed fact sheet.

Canti-TravellerMcConnell Dowell's 'Canti-Traveller' is a purpose-built temporary mobile platform that facilitates fast, safe, low-impact construction of piled marine jetties and piers. The innovative system, designed and fabricated by our in-house team, can drive vertical and raker piles with speed and accuracy. Fastest in a straight run, it also has a system for changing direction. Click here for a detailed fact sheet, or see it in action in this Creative Construction case study.
