On the Cranbourne Line Upgrade Project in Victoria our team installed 850 tonnes of reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) for our site compound carpark.
The asphalt mix included approximately 670,168 pieces of soft plastics from plastic bags and packaging equivalents. This builds on our previous use of RAP products on other projects in Victoria and South Australia.
Supplied by Downer, the Reconophalt™ is the first road surfacing material in Australia containing high recycled content derived from waste streams, such as soft plastics, glass and toner, which would otherwise be bound for landfill or to be stockpiled.
