An essential customer requirement of a project we are currently delivering in Auckland is the timely handover of the as-built data within the agreed 3D Project Information Model (PIM) format. Our customer requires this data within two weeks of the completion of the construction phase.
To achieve this objective we have proactively developed the PIM as we progress the works, to identify any potential issues early, as well as keep all the stakeholder informed and updated with the relevant and recent information.
The process started with traditional surveying methods, which was then gets processed via our authoring software to develop the as-built 3D geometry.
Federation of the as-built geometry with the design PIM using Revizto then enabled visual confirmation that the construction was within accepted tolerances.
This process has given our customer confidence in our ability to develop an accurate and data rich as-built model.
