On the Puhinui Interchange project in Auckland, our team partnered with Amotai to engage as many Māori and locally owned businesses as possible.
This resulted in a project spend of approximately $730,000 in local procurement. Businesses engaged included Concrete Logiss, First Civil, Gorilla Masonry, Kia Tupato, Giacon Terrazzo and STOMP Equipment.
One of our suppliers, Kia Tupato, provided gate controller servicers to the project. Kia Tupato are a Whānau orientated business who care about the welfare of their people and pay a minimum of the living wage with a saying “Work one day with us, you’ll be better off for it.”
